Enter key disabled on Linux box -


i have ssh'd linux box , reason cannot hit enter run command (such pwd). can press enter when there no text on prompt, time text in prompt, seems enter disabled. kind of security measure? i've tried in putty , cygwin, , both exhibit behavior. how can enable enter key can run commands on box?

try using ctrl + j intead of enter.
